jEFFERY lLOYD cOLLINS
Jeffery Lloyd Collins has been an Augusta resident since 1969, where he attended the Augusta School District which he later graduated in 1981. His parents are Brenda and BO Collins, also longtime Augusta Residents. Jeff is married to Leslie Collins, Woodruff County Tax Assessor. Jeff has 1 sister(Jill Shadwick), 3 children(Kamie, Justin, Nikki), and 2 grandchildren(Keiley and Jorryn).
After Collins graduated High School, he went on with the United States Army National Guard where he served from 1982-1988. After his service with the National Guard, Collins started to focus more on his family owned trucking company.
Collins also worked for the Woodruff County Road Department, founded Second Chance Ministries, served on the Augusta City Council for 4 Years prior to him being elected as Mayor of Augusta.
Collins primary goal in office is to improve on restoration on our cities Historical sites, make the city more an inviting town for retirees, and utilize city property along with the White River.
Organizational involvement:
Collins wants to remind everyone that HE was elected by the citizens of Augusta, he works for ALL citizens regardless on age! Collins encourages everyone that as a concern, question, or an idea to come by his office and meet with him personally!
